A coffee is 98% water. On a professional machine running all day, the quality of that water matters just as much to the taste as the beans. The CLARIS Pro Smart maxi filter cartridge is the high-capacity version of the Smart range, made for machines with heavy daily output.
It works according to the professional upflow principle and only filters the amount of water needed for preparation. It retains limescale, chlorine and heavy metals. Thanks to the RFID chip and the I.W.S. system, the machine communicates with the cartridge and lets you know itself when it is time to replace it. No one needs to keep a calendar.
Its capacity depends on water hardness: up to 750 litres with soft water up to 10 °dH, around 450 litres between 13 and 15 °dH, and 200 litres above 26 °dH. JURA reference 24146. That is two and a half times the capacity of a CLARIS Pro Smart+, which changes the maintenance rhythm on a high-volume site.
